Edward J. Meader, son of Alexander J. Meader (1824-1891?) [1164] and his wife Anne (1835-1907), was born in 1871, dated from the 1880 Census. He was first listed in 1909/10 as an elevator operator; by 1918/19 he was a patrolman with the Underwriters' Fire Patrol.
